Male Hooded Merganser in Motion
I found this Hooded Merganser (Lophodytes cucullatus) male in a pond located right in the middle of a trailer park. This is the perfect example of how you don’t always need to go far to find wildlife. I used a slow shutter speed and panned with him while he swam by, creating a motion blur in the background while the male remains in focus.
